Ajax Glass and Mirror Company has been a part of the Fort Worth economy since 1945. It is currently operated by third generation brothers, Arthur and Buddy Moses. Their grandfather ran the business in a small building just blocks from the downtown Courthouse specializing in auto glass installation. When their father, R.D. Moses, joined the firm in the mid 1950's, he saw the growth potential of expanding their services into a full service glass shop, which could provide furniture tops, mirrors, and shower doors. Outgrowing the downtown location, R.D. Moses, moved the business to West Vickery in 1975 to a newly constructed 10,000 square foot facility which included a 1200 square foot showroom. With a small fleet of four trucks and skilled employees, Ajax Glass serviced the entire Fort Worth and surrounding communities. By providing great customer service, combined with competitive prices, the new building was quickly outgrown and another 22,000 square feet were added to the still new location in 1978. This latest addition also included enlarging their showroom to 3400 sq. ft. where they showcased hundreds of framed mirrors and a display of custom shower doors. After completing their own education, the two brothers, Arthur and Buddy, joined the firm in the late 1970's to work along side their father and grandfather. While learning the technical aspect of the business, they each paid close attention to the important lessons their father taught them about the heart of any successful business. They provided great customer service, listened to what the customer had to say, and most importantly, treated them fairly. With sales growing each year, the bothers saw further opportunities to expand the business. Becoming proficient at their regular duties, they expanded the firms' offerings into both commercial storefront installations and builder's hardware products during the mid 1980's. With a constant eye on customer service, sales continued to grow each year. Ajax Glass & Mirror is often recognized as one of the leading glass shops in Fort Worth. Ajax is often called upon to do jobs other firms cannot handle. We are very fortunate to have a dedicated and well-trained staff of 55+ who travel the metroplex in their fleet of twenty-two service vehicles.
